Where The Wild Things Are (What to Know)
Spike Jonze's next film might not be the long awaited re-teaming with his Being John Malkovich writer Charlie Kaufman but he is bring the work of writer Maurice Sendak's American, if not childhood, classic "Where The Wild Things Are". This is a book that I will assume many of us have read and have been captivated by but knowing it will soon be a live action film helmed by Jonze and Puppeteered by the Jim Henson team is giving me all SMILES. I can't wait to go where the Wild Things Are. I'm gonna get greedy and wish on a RealD (3D) release as well.P.T. Anderson might just find some more "Oil!"
I found this little bit of film sugar and wanted to share... I've think about this at times and Paul Thomas Anderson's films Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love and Magnolia are perfection. Sorry but P.T. is a wunderkind. He might be a reclusive and prefers solid B-actors in his films but the writing is so modern and yet granduer in way unseen in films made by people near his age. Sorry but it's sadly the truth and P.T.'s next "There Will Be Blood" loosely based on the 1927 Upton Sinclair novel "OIL!", which chronicles the ugly side of oil drilling in 1920's California. Stars Daniel Day Lewis playing a man who buys a family ranch and strikes black gold when he finds crude oil. The book showcased bribery of public officials, class warfare, and international rivalry over oil production. Sinclair's story of a genial independent oil developer and his son, whose sympathy with the oilfield workers and socialist organizers fuels a running debate with his father. Senators, small investors, oil magnates, a Hollywood film star, and a crusading evangelist are the people that populate the pages of the novel. Day-Lewis will play the prospector who buys the oil rights to a family's ranch, and then hits a major pocket of crude. The story is basically a turn into greed and faith, as the prospector realizes the American dream and is destroyed by it.. It also must be said that P.T. is directing from his own adaptation so it should be butters.

Babel (Graded)
The amazing director of Amores Perros and 21 Grams, Alejandro González Iñárritu's trilogy is complete!!!A father, concerned about his deaf daughter, has problems communicating with the rebellious girl. An American married couple vacationing in Morroco is suddenly forced to extend their stay due to a freak accident. After the nanny back in the United States is informed about the couple’s troubles abroad, she becomes concerned about missing a family wedding in Mexico. Along with her nephew, she crosses the border with the couple’s kids in tow, only to be stopped by authorities for suspected kidnapping.

Yet another big-production Hollywood remake of a hit Hong Kong film, this time it is 'Infernal Affairs' which starred Andy Lau Tak-wah and Tony Leung Chiu-wai. The plot remains the same: a criminal mole in the police department has to uncover the police mole in the criminal organization, and vice-versa. In the HK version, the undercover police/criminal end up with each other's mobile phones, and the cat-and-mouse game begins. But is either willing to turn on the friends and comrades they've made during their long stints undercover?
