Here is a shot of Benicio Del Toro as Ernesto (Che) Guevara on the set of "Guerilla" in Spain, which was chosen to substitute for Bolivia. The image is courtesy of Hollywood-Elsewhere.
"Guerilla" is actually the second film that Del Toro is making with director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic) about Che Guevara. The first one is called "The Argentine," which is being shot in the mountains of Puerto and follows Che during his days with Fidel Castro in the Sierra Maestra and ends with the Cuban leader's ascension to power.
Del Toro spoke briefly about portraying such an icon, saying that it's a "huge" undertaking. "You have nightmares everyday," he added. "It's very difficult, but you just do it. You know it's never going to be perfect; it can't be. We're just trying to stay true to the historical period, showing what he tried to accomplish."
